Design Your Own Logo

If your desired logo is not in our embroidery database, you may have to go through the process of setting up a custom logo. Before any design can be embroidered, it needs to be “digitized” into a special format (a DST file) that is accepted and readable by the embroidery machine. When a logo or artwork is "digitized" for embroidery, it is setup by someone who knows how to get the stitches to "plot" correctly and most efficiently by the 'sewing machine.' This digitized file basically tells the embroidery machine where, how, and which colors to use while stitching the logo. It's not just changing it from one file format to another. An embroidery program is used to digitally plan out pretty darn accurately how the thread will go onto the item. As in, all the stitches, thread changes, thread trims, etc. will be set up and previewed prior to the information being sent to the machine(s).

There are different stitch types, stitch densities and lengths, and stitch directions used for different purposes that go into making artwork look and embroider best (not pucker, pull, draw up, etc.). The item material type, surface shape, and all sorts of things are taken into account.

STEP 1: SEND YOUR LOGO FOR A MOCK-UP

Digital mock-ups require a vector art file (AI.file or EPS.file) to be most accurately represented. If your image / artwork is formatted as a JPG, PDF, or TIFF, these can be converted into vector format for purposes of the mock-up. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

STEP 2: CREATE THE .DST FILE (*ONE TIME DIGITIZING SET-UP FEE)

If no DST file (a special sewing machine file type) is available for your logo, a one-time set-up fee of $50 will be charged in order to convert it. Alternatively, if a DST file exists, you may incur a $50 fee in order to resize the existing DST file to fit the dimension requirements for your bag. A sew-out sample will then be created and sent to you in approximately one week for your approval or suggested changes. We will digitize any logo up to 5" X 5" in size. However, if the number of stitches exceeds 20,000, an additional fee will apply. See Embroidery Guidelines for more details.

STEP 3: APPROVE THE SEW-OUT SAMPLE

Once the final version of the logo embroidery has been approved by you, it will be added to our database and will remain on file for future orders. Remember that once the logo has been approved it cannot be changed. *There will be no additional setup costs for that approved logo embroidery.

STEP 4: BUILD YOUR CUSTOM BAG

Select the bag that you want embroidered. If applicable, add the one-time set-up charge of $50.00 to the cost of the bag and this will be the total cost of the custom bag with embroidery. Upon approval of the artwork, bags can be shipped within 5-7 days of placing the order.

STEP 5: FUTURE USE OF THE EMBROIDERY FILE

After approval of the logo it is free for future use and will be stored in our database. Note: Any request for use of a private members’ club logo will require confirmation of membership prior to embroidery.
