FAQs
1. How long will it take to receive my order?

- In normal times, delivery should be less than 2 weeks. However, immediately following a new release our warehouse and embroiderer can get overwhelmed with the rapid increase in order volume, so delivery times have been known to increase to 4-weeks. If you have ordered in one of these periods, please be patient, I promise we are working as hard as we can to get as many bags out the door as possible. We ship with UPS and FedEx ground which means once it ships you will be notified with all the necessary tracking details. The above map provides estimate transit times once your bag has shipped.
2. Where do you ship to?
- We are able to ship to anywhere in the United States. International shipments are possible but will require exact quotations from courier for freight charges. $200 is used as a placeholder on all international shipments during checkout and the exact charges will be confirmed with the customer prior to payment processing. The difference will be automatically refunded.
3. Do you offer custom logo embroidery?
- We do! If you are looking for something truly unique, have a look through the "custom logo" section as well the "embroidery guidelines" section for more information. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us.
4. I'd like to get my private club logo on a bag, what should I do?
- If your club logo isn't a part of our database and you would like it to be, please introduce us together in an email (support@shaplandbags.com). We can then setup an account with them and add them to our growing list of trusted partners. If we currently work with them, it is best to contact them directly to place your order. All bags with private club logos need to be ordered through the respective club.
5. There is a problem with my bag, what should I do?
- If it is our fault, we will fix it, repair it, or refund it. We will do everything we can to make it right. If you took your five-iron to the bag after your 6th slice OB, still give us a shout, we can let you know how much it would cost to get you back up and running.
6. How should the shoulder straps be attached and how do I use them properly?

- Every bag comes with two shoulder straps that look the same, but are actually inverted. One shoulder strap has a thin line of red stitching near the swivel hook. This shoulder strap is for your right shoulder. It should run from the top left D-ring to the bottom right buckle. The other strap, the strap for your left shoulder, then goes to the outside of the "right" strap and connects from the top right D-ring to the bottom left buckle. You will know you have done it right if both leather patches on the shoulder straps sit in the middle of your back when carrying the bag. (Note: this is all reversed for the Lefty Rye bag)
7. Do you offer a single strap version?
- Technically, no. Every bag comes with two separate parallel shoulder straps that are easily removed. If you want a single strap, you can either grab both straps and put them on one shoulder, or you can remove one of them entirely. Often times, if I have a caddy who is carrying two bags, I will remove that second strap and leave it in the car to eliminate confusion.
8. What makes our bags so special?
- Modeled after the Ping L8, the greatest golf bag design ever, our bags offer a great design with unbeatable style and modern improvements. A fan favorite of caddies, the independent shoulder straps make it a perfect bag for one or two shoulder carrying. The stand design offers a more stable base than traditional designs and allows for improved visibility when selecting your clubs. All of that on top of the ability to personalize and have it delivered direct to your own home in less than 2 weeks.
9. Are Shapland bags water-proof?
- While we personally hate this metric and think the industry inaccurately defines a "waterproof" bag, by their standards yes our bags are definitely water-proof. The fabric is a marine grade, UV and water-proof fabric and our zippers on all apparel and valuables pockets are water-proof as well. We use a lightly oiled top-grain leather that will shed water, but with sustained exposure may begin to retain small amounts of water. This has no negative impact on the long-term durability of the bag. As a natural material, the leather will earn a patina over time. If you prefer the more fresh look you can always apply some leather conditioner to replenish some of those original leather oils.
10. Do you offer bulk order discounts?
- We would love to be the bag of choice for your team, club, or organization. Please contact us directly to discuss how we can meet your needs.
11. My stand legs broke and I've ordered a replacement set, how do I go about swapping them out?
- There are no formal instructions for replacing the legs, but a flathead screwdriver is usually helpful to work the pin out at the head where the leg connects to the bag. Step 1 is to pull the wires out from the middle of the legs. Step 2 is to work the pins out using a flathead screwdriver. It is usually easiest to do this by wedging it out from the pin head side. Step 3 is to remove and replace the legs, making sure the holes in the plastic tops line up with the holes in the legs. For the carbon fiber legs, the knuckle where the wire attaches needs to be facing outwards. Step 4 is to push the pins back into place. Step 5 is to reattach the wires. This step may require the use of pliers to get the wires at the exact right angle. If your legs broke during air travel, you are not the first. I strongly recommend placing golf bags on their side when putting them in your travel case to prevent direct impacts.
12. My spine rods popped out and the bag has lost it's structure. What do I do?
- From my experience, this only happens on rare occasions that heavy loads are applied perpendicular to the spine of the bag. First, remove all your clubs and ensure the two rods are threaded through the webbing loop located midway down the spine. Then put the two rod ends into the two holes in the top mold. You can expose this more by un-velcroing the mesh that covers it. Then, with the bag upside down, you will pull the bottom handle while keeping your foot on the top handle (this will stretch the body of the bag), while simultaneously reaching through the hidden zipper inside the apparel pocket and inserting the rods into the two holes in the pivoting piece attached to the bottom mold. EASY! It sounds tough, but I do promise that if done right, it is easy. The rods are not supposed to pop out easily.
